the first time, we have also listed about 20 colleges at AA+ (12 listed here) among the Top Engineering Colleges in Madhya Pradesh 2015 so that new institutions are brought to the attention of the students. Autonomous institutions are also a rarity in the state and this has an impact on the accreditation process.
Private universities such as ITM Univeristy, AISECT Univeristy have also emerged prominently in the state. However, nearly 65% of the engineering schools have just average quality, and have little industry interface. Beyond the top 10 institutions we could not find a single college that publishes. And the state system has a tough job ahead to bring them on par with the good institutes with funding and assistance.
Among the Top Engineering Colleges in MP 2015, Indian Institute of Technology, Indore is rated AAAA+. The next set of Engineering institutes with AAAA rating includes Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal; Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal; and ABV- Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management, Gwalior.
