Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is one of the oldest agricultural universities in India, which was founded in the year 1962. OUAT provides the extensive instructions, training, and research in the field of agriculture.

The university has four campuses including eight constituent colleges, one center for post-graduation, and eight zonal research stations across Odisha. The main campus of OUAT is based in Bhubaneshwar, the capital city of Odisha.

OUAT Admission Schedule 2018-19

OUAT selects the candidates based on the merit score of the common entrance exam conducted by the university itself. Each program level has its own type of entrance exam, which is common throughout the courses under that level. Hence, there is a common exam for all the UG courses, a common exam for all the PG courses, and a common exam for all the Ph.D. courses.

OUAT UG Admission

OUAT provides the undergraduate programs not only in the field of Agriculture, but in the fields of Home Science, Horticulture, Basic Science, Veterinary, and Fisheries as well.

The selection for these courses are based on the merit score of 10th/HSC, 10+2 or equivalent examination, and the score obtained in the common entrance exam conducted by the university.

The candidates looking for the admission in the UG courses need to have the following qualifications:

Selection Criteria

OUAT conducts a common entrance test to select the candidates for the UG courses. The test is composed of 200 multiple choice questions from the following subjects:

• Physics – 66 Marks
• Chemistry – 66 Marks
• Mathematics/Biology – 68 Marks

Weightage for the candidate selection is calculated as follows:

Selection Criteria

The university takes an entrance examination to grant admission in the PG courses. The exam is of 100 marks and the duration is 2 hours. The questions are composed in two categories:

Selection Criteria

The selection for the MCA, MBA, and M.Sc. (Bioinformatics) is based on the academic scores of the candidates. The candidates need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.

OUAT Ph.D. Admission

The university provides the research facility in the fields of Basic Science, Mathematics, and Microbiology. For the selection in these Ph.D. courses, the candidates need to have the Master’s Degree in the relevant subject and must qualify in the entrance test conducted for the PH.D. courses.

Selection Criteria

OUAT selects candidates for its Ph.D. courses through a common entrance test followed by a viva test. The duration of the entrance exam is of 2 hours having the value of 100 marks. The questions are categorized in multiple choice of 40 marks and short answers of 60 marks.

How to Apply

Online Application Submission

The application forms for all the courses are available online in the official website of the university. The candidates need to do the following to apply for the courses:

1. Go to the OUAT official website – www.ouat.ac.in.
2. Click the Admission tab. All the important links will be listed on the Admission page.
3. Click the applicable link for the course you want to apply for.
4. The link leads you to the online payment of the application fee of 1000/- through the SBI Collect facility.
5. After successfully making the payment, fill up the form and submit it.

Offline Application Submission

The application forms for the PG and Ph.D. courses are also available offline at the university campus. The candidates need to do the following:

1. Get the application forms from the university campus or download and print the form.
2. Send the duly filled up application form to the address:

3. Make the payment of the application fee of 1000/- using the online SBI Collect facility.

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), formerly known as the University College of Engineering, Burla, is a UGC recognised Unitary Technical University located in Burla, Odisha, India. It is first engineering college in Odisha.

The University offers various UG, PG and Doctoral level programmes in the streams of Science & Technology, Engineering, Computer Applications etc. under a wide number of Specializations.

Admission to the academic programs mentioned is awarded through performance of candidates in state or national level tests and on the basis of the applicant's prior academic records. VSSUT B.Tech Admission 2017

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) offers Bachelor’s degree in Technology under 11 different specialization subjects with the duration of four years. The university also offers 5 years Integrated B.Tech+M.Tech course under two different specializations.

Admission to B.Tech. courses of the University are based on merit of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), Govt. of Odisha. Application process for Odisha JEE starts in the month of March every year. Candidates can apply online application for Odisha JEE.

VSSUT M.Tech Admission 2018

VSSUT offers M.Tech programme under 20 different specializations with the duration of two years. The intake capacity of each M.Tech programme is 18 seats.

Selection for admission to any M.Tech programme is done on the basis of scores obtained in GATE entrance examination. For the leftover seats, the college accepts direct admission, selection for which is done on the basis of scores secured in B.Tech or Equivalent Examination.

Key Points to Note

• SC/ST candidates are considered separately for seats reserved for the purpose
• If a candidate is interested to apply for M.Tech Admission in more than one discipline/specialisation (Department), then he/she has to submit separate applications with requisite fees. In no case, any candidate shall be considered more than one department with one application. Admission shall be carried out strictly according to the merit and choice of specializations chosen during submission of application

VSSUT M.Sc, Integrated M.Sc. And MCA Admission 2018

The University offers various Postgraduate level courses in different fields of Science and Technology.

The M.Sc programme is provided with three different specializations for which the course period is two years, whereas, the MCA programme is offered for a period of three years. A 5 years Integrated B.Sc + M.Sc programme is also provided by VSSUT.

Admission to the M.Sc. courses are made through an open selection process through academic career evaluation. The evaluation of candidates for the purpose of admission will be based on merit of High Secondary and Graduation or Equivalent level.

VSSUT Ph.D Admission 2018

VSSUT offers Doctoral level programmes in the field of Engineering under 15 different specialization subjects.

For admission to the Ph.D. programme, aspirants need to undergo the process of selection through the Departmental Academic Committee (DAC) on the basis of overall academic career, written test and interview.

1. Full time students with External Fellowship and VSSUT faculty members are exempted from this selection process
2. The candidates who have qualified GATE/NET/Inspired fellowship (DST)/Teacher fellowship (UGC) and other fellowships from Govt. Agencies are exempted from the Written Test and they will be given preference in the selection of Ph.D admission
   • They are required to appear only interview before DAC to assess their research aptitude, ability to work in a team, subject interest and availability of supervisors and facilities in the Department before final selection
3. The Selection for the candidates who have not qualified in GATE/NET/Inspired Fellowship (DST)/Teacher Fellowship (UGC) and other fellowships from Government agencies, shall be on the basis of merit of Career marks, Written test and Interview

• Student those who are selected through JEE/OJEE/Univ. entrance examination for taking admission into various courses of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla are required to register online through the link available in the official website of VSSUT 
• After successfully online registration, students will be facilitated to download/print his/her online application where an auto generated application code will be generated for further references
• The interested candidates may download the application form available in the University Website and submit a hard copy of the signed completed application alongwith non-refundable demand draft of Rs.500/- (Rs.200/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in favour of VSSUT, Burla payable at SBI, Burla (Code - 2034) or Syndicate Bank (Code - 8062) and send the same by Speed Post only so as to reach the Dean, PGS & R, VSSUT, Burla before the last date of submission
