Location :

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) College of Engineering, Pune is located right next to the Katraj dairy. The grand entrance of BVDU can be seen right from the highway. It has very good accessibility from most parts of the city, the only thing is that it's a little far especially if you're travelling from the northern or eastern parts of Pune.


Infrastructure:
The campus of BVDU is huge and hosts many other colleges. The 4 floor library with elevators and a dedicated internet room is enormous. Labs are also well equipped and internet facility is available in labs. The campus boasts of a state-of-the-art football ground where the Indian football team comes to practice occasionally.

Faculty :
Teaching is fairly okay. English communication is not that great. Very helpful faculty, though


Attendance:
Strict. Varying measures are taken based on your attendance levels. If it’s below 75% letters are sent to parents informing them about your status. If it goes below 50% students are detained and a fine of Rs. 5,000/- is levied.



Crowd:

A cosmopolitan crowd can be found here who are quite approachable and friendly. Pune city locals are less since the college is located in the outskirts. Students from other parts of Maharashtra are more.



Hangouts:
100 biryanis is right opposite the main gate of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University campus. A chain of food stalls near the rear gate provide a variety of delicious foods. A CCD next to these food stalls offers a nice ambience for budding relationships. Bhagyalakshmi’s panipuri is not to be missed. City pride multiplex on Pune-Satara road is about 4-5 kms from the college.



Canteen:
It’s not very spacious and students face a space crunch problem during lunch time. Food quality is good and is very moderately priced. Chai and poha are the favourite morning breakfast.


Festivals:
Bhartium is the technical + cultural fest of BVDU College of Engineering held in the 2nd week of March and it is conducted in a huge fashion. Another spotlight event is the Abhjeet Kadam memorial football match, where celebrities like Shahrukh Khan & Salman Khan come and play for the passion of the game. Plenty of activities to participate and have fun.


Placements:
TCS takes majority of the students. Other companies include IBM, Mercedes, Patni. The Indian Army also picks up a handful of students. On an average 65% of eligible students with average marks more than 55% get placed through campus placements. The average salary offered by companies to placed students is around Rs. 3.2 Lakhs per anum. The table below summarizes the number of students placed for the past few years out of 60, except for computers for which it is out of 120 students
